Michael Widyaputra

Michael is a licensed Indonesian attorney, holding a Bachelor of Law degree with Cum Laude from Universitas Indonesia (UI). Michael was awarded the Indonesian Endowment Fund For Education (LPDP) Scholarship by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance to pursue his Master of Laws degree at The University of Melbourne, Australia; Top 10 Law School worldwide. Michael also accomplished his master's degree with Cum Laude under the U.S. grading system. Currently, Michael is a Ph.D. candidate at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), Indonesia's leading private university. Michael is working as the Head of Legal of Indonesia's largest corporate venture capital company, MDI Ventures, a subsidiary of Indonesia's leading telco SOE, Telkom. Michael has obtained the Investment Manager Representative (WMI) license from the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK), Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO), Qualified Risk Management Officer (QRMO) and passed the Foundation I of Capital Market Lawyer License. Previously Michael worked at BRI Ventures and two prominent boutique and international law firms in Indonesia. He was involved in Investments, Cross-border transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, TMT, Real Property, Energy, Banking & Finance, and General Corporate matters.
