Lucas Elbert Suryana

Hi, I’m Lucas. I am currently a PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology in the Transport & Planning Department. In transportation technology research, the department consistently ranks in the top 5 worldwide. My research primarily focuses on developing ethical motion planning algorithms for automated vehicles. The central theme of my work is to improve the accountability of intelligent systems by ensuring that they can attribute each decision to relevant human intentions. I’m really excited to share my experiences in finding research topics and making connections with potential supervisors. Furthermore, I am a recipient of the LPDP scholarship. I can also give you some tips and tricks to be accepted into this well-known scholarship. Feel free to discuss other topics, such as working in industry and academia, as I have experience in both.
