Solution Architect – Manufacturing Projects (with Business Analyst Expertise)

Solution Architecture & Design 

• Lead the design of end-to-end architecture for manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA, IoT platforms). 
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions. 
• Ensure that solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and integrate seamlessly with existing systems. 

Business Requirement Gathering, Analysis & Integration 

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather and validate functional and non-functional requirements. 
• Conduct detailed gap analyses, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses. 
• Model business processes and define system capabilities that support operational excellence. 
• Engage with stakeholders (engineering, production, quality, logistics, finance) to gather and document business requirements. 
• Analyze and translate manufacturing processes into system requirements or functional specifications. 
• Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and business models to understand current and future states. 

Manufacturing Process Improvement & Enablement 

• Identify inefficiencies in production, inventory management, and supply chain processes. 
• Lead or support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. 
• Propose technology-driven solutions to improve throughput, reduce costs, and minimize waste. 
• Optimize manufacturing workflows through the implementation of digital solutions (e.g., predictive maintenance, smart factory systems). 
• Support initiatives such as Industry 4.0, digital twin, lean manufacturing, and supply chain digitization. 
• Drive data standardization and interoperability across manufacturing sites and systems. 

Data Analysis & Reporting 

• Collect, validate, and analyze production and operational data (OEE, downtime, yield, etc.). 
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for performance tracking and decision-making. 
• Provide insights through root cause analysis and predictive analytics to guide project direction. 

System Implementation & Testing 

• Collaborate on the design, testing, and rollout of ERP, MES, or other manufacturing systems. 
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide training and documentation for end-users. 
• Ensure system solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA if applicable). 

Stakeholder & Vendor Management 

• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units. 
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation to senior management. 
• Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. 
• Act as a bridge between business users, IT teams, and external vendors. 
• Evaluate vendor solutions and support RFP/RFI processes. 
• Lead architecture reviews and communicate technical strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
