About the Role
As a Backend Engineer Intern at SIRCLO, you will become an integral part of our Engineering team. Beyond learning how to write production-ready code, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the development of new features that power our large-scale e-commerce and omnichannel ecosystem.
You will join a product squad and work closely with experienced engineers who will support your professional growth. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to real-world software development, system scalability, and modern engineering practices while enabling you to contribute to products used by thousands of businesses every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend features and services using Python or Go.
- Support the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver technical solutions that address business needs.
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality and development practices.
- Create and maintain unit tests to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to problem resolution efforts.
- Learn software development methodologies, system architecture principles, and engineering best practices through mentorship and hands-on experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvements within the product and engineering teams.
Kualifikasi
- Be a final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Show interest in, or hands-on experience with Python or Go through academic, personal, or extracurricular projects.
- Understand fundamental database concepts, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrate familiarity with APIs and RESTful service architecture.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a strong willingness to learn through mentorship and feedback.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to technical challenges.
- Adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
