Senior Quantity Surveyor

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
2. Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to determine project viability.
3. Managing the cost planning process from inception to completion, including cost tracking and management throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Advising on contractual claims, variations, and change orders.
5. Managing the procurement process, including tender preparation, bid evaluation, and selection of contractors and suppliers.
6. Developing procurement strategies and preparing tender documentation.
7. Conducting risk assessments to identify potential financial, contractual, and commercial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
8. Monitoring project progress, ensuring costs remain within approved budgets.
9. Conducting on-site visits to verify work progress, measure quantities, and ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
10. Preparing final accounts and financial closeouts, ensuring all costs are accounted for and reconciled.
11. Leading and mentoring junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
12. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
13. Ensuring all project documentation, contracts, and records are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

15. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding financial and contractual matters.
16. Assessing and managing changes in the project scope, evaluating the cost impact, and ensuring change control procedures are followed.
