About the Role:
as a Junior Automation QA Engineer at Baltini, this position offers a hybrid working model and focuses on introducing the successful candidate to the world of automation testing while retaining a strong foundation in manual testing practices. The Junior Automation QA Engineer will play a crucial role in feature and exploratory testing and will have the opportunity to grow in automation frameworks under guidance. Engaging closely with the Product Management and Development teams from the start, this role promises a hands-on learning experience and significant contribution to the quality of our products.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct feature and exploratory tests on mobile applications (Android, iOS) and APIs, focusing on manual testing with an introduction to automated testing.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional product team, including Product Managers, Designers, and Developers, from the inception of features, providing valuable input from a QA perspective.
- Create and execute test cases for new features with minimal guidance. Begin to maintain and contribute to automation frameworks at the UI/API test level, aiming to gradually reduce manual efforts during regression testing.
- Participate in iteration planning, offering insights on required testing tasks, processes, and the associated effort for the selected user stories.
- Start to design, develop, and execute simple test automation scripts under supervision for designated areas of responsibility.
- Focus on manual test coverage while learning to provide automated test coverage for critical areas such as corner cases, revenue impact, usability, backend services, and through exploratory testing.
- As a proactive learner and a team player, quickly adapt to new technologies and methods, thriving in a complex and fast-paced environment with the support of your team.
Kualifikasi
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in QA testing, with a keen interest in moving towards automation testing.
- Demonstrated experience in writing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- A basic understanding of or experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to learn and engage with automation tools and frameworks. Any prior exposure to tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar is beneficial but not required.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman for manual and automated testing purposes is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- An enthusiastic quick learner, eager to grow in the field of automation testing, with a strong capability to work effectively within a team environment.
