Project Associate (COO Office)

Edufarmers Foundation is a non-profit organization with a vision to improve the four pillars of food security through two main initiatives: 

1. Agriculture Services and Development: We are currently building our capabilities to do agronomy research to achieve optimal yield, to work with farmers and influencing their behavior to adopt certain agri-inputs, practices, and technologies, and to create agriculture content and material to disseminate them to wider audiences. We have the ambition to develop an Indonesian agriculture production center of excellence with research and training center operations all around Indonesia to create impact and change the landscape of the Indonesian upstream agriculture industry. 
2. Stunting Prevention Program: We are currently trying to solve the stunting problem in Indonesia once and for all through agri-based intervention programs and platforms to encourage increased consumption of nutritious food and education. Our main program for this initiative is Santosa untuk Anak Nusantara (SAN), in which we supply stunted kids with eggs every day to remove them from stunting conditions. 

At this stage, Edufarmers has already set up the foundation for these two main initiatives to scale up fast. Yet, there are still a lot of initiatives and projects that we need to tackle to enhance our impact on our beneficiaries and improve our financial sustainability to keep creating an impact for those in need. We are currently looking for a Project Associate to lead the development and trial for those pilot projects. 

As this is mainly a project role, expect the work to be dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-paced. Most of the time, you will be working to chart the uncharted territory. This will also be a unique opportunity to build, define, and truly own a program that will deliver real impact.

As a Project Associate, you are expected to design, manage, and implement pilot projects to enhance impact for smallholder farmers and stunted kids. The details of the job will include, but might not be limited to the following: 

• Gather project requirements from internal and external stakeholders (farmers, partners, experts, stakeholders, governments, etc.) independently. 
• Perform quantitative and/or qualitative research and analysis to dig deeper into the issue. 
• Synthesize findings to design an overall delivery concept that satisfies project requirements. 
• Create the concept document and present it to top management. 
• Map out resources needed to deliver the project and work together with other functions or external stakeholders to fulfill needed resources. 
• Hire and build an operational team to work on the project. 
• Develop operational material and evaluation instruments for delivery and evaluation. 
• Manage the project to ensure deliverables are fulfilled on time and targets are achieved.
