We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to be the founding AI/ML hire in our company. This is a unique opportunity to define the AI/ML roadmap, drive innovation, and be the key technical leader in all things AI. Since we currently lack in-house AI expertise, the ideal candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of ML/AI initiatives from day one.
Job Descriptions:
- Build Forecasting Models: Develop predictive analytics, providing actionable business intelligence.
- Develop & Deploy AI Solutions: Build the core AI/ML system, enabling intelligent insights and automation.

- End-to-End ML Development: Work on data preprocessing, model selection, training, deployment, and monitoring to ensure scalability and reliability.
- MLOps & Infrastructure: Design and implement ML pipelines, integrate with our existing ETL data, and optimize performance.
- Technical & Research Leadership: Lead the R&D efforts, staying up to date with AI/ML trends, conducting experiments, and driving innovation.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to align AI initiatives with company objectives.
- Evaluate & Compare Open-Source Technologies: Since we primarily use open-source tech stacks, you must be comfortable with reading documentation, benchmarking different tools, and making informed decisions on the best technology to use.
Kualifikasi
Requirements:
- Experienced ML Engineer: Strong experience in building, deploying, and scaling ML models in production.
- Self-Starter & Innovator: Comfortable working in an environment where AI/ML is new and taking ownership of AI initiatives.
- Data Engineering & MLOps Knowledge: Familiar with ETL pipelines, feature engineering, model monitoring, and CI/CD for ML.
- Forecasting & Predictive Analytics Expertise: Experience with time series forecasting, demand prediction, or related techniques is a plus.
- Strong Research Mindset: Passionate about learning and exploring new AI technologies and methodologies to enhance our solutions.
- Strong Communicator: Able to explain AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence AI-driven decision-making.
- Growth-Oriented: Open to growing into a leadership role as the AI/ML team expands.
- Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) and NLP techniques for data interaction is an advantage.
- Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-moving environment is an advantage.
