Role Overview
Reporting to the head of Marine Hull Department, the Average Adjuster investigates insurance claims on behalf of the insurer. They review supporting documents of the damaged object to obtain all necessary facts once a claim is logged.
Responsibility
- To carry out thorough on-desk investigations on marine insurance related losses with emphasis on maritime casualties on losses occasioned to shipping incidents involving numerous types of vessels.
- To establish policy liability under the terms and conditions of an insurance policy.
- To go through various reports, textbooks, case laws on maritime casualties in great detail.
- To prepare concise and comprehensive reports in accordance with principles of marine insurance and maritime law in timely manner and in accordance with the guidelines set out by the company.
- To be available to attend meeting or conduct further on-site/inspection when required.
Kualifikasi
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Law or International Relations and graduated from overseas university (degrees taught in English).
- A keen reader with inquisitive mind and possess analytical skill sets.
- Good command in English (proved by TOEFL score min. 600 or IELTS score 6.5).
- Computer literate, willing to work under tight deadline and work as a team.
- Adapt to desk-bound and remote working scheme.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication, self-motivated, dynamic, and proactive.
