Job Overview:

We are looking for a Head of Merchandiser to join our growing team! As a Head of Merchandiser, you will play leadership role responsible for managing the merchandising strategy and operations. The Head of Merchandiser is a critical role, influencing the product assortment, pricing, and presentation, which directly impacts sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Job Role:

  1. Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy that aligns with the brand's vision, goals, and target market.
  2. Product Selection: Select and source fashion products, including bags, apparel, accessories, etc, to build a balanced and attractive product assortment.
  3. Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with fashion trends and consumer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
  4. Assortment Planning: Create well-balanced assortments by category, style, size, and color to cater to customer needs and preferences.
  5. Sales and Inventory Analysis: Monitor sales performance and inventory turnover and adjust strategies accordingly. Use data and analytics to make informed decisions.
  6. Pricing Strategy: Determine pricing strategies for different products, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the merchandising budget, including cost negotiation with suppliers and vendors.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, buyers, and planners, providing guidance, setting goals, and nurturing talent.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications can be advantageous.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in leading merchandising team, including a proven track record of successful merchandising strategies.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and the fashion retail industry.
  • Excellent research, analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to lead a merchandising team effectively.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for fashion and style trends.
  • Negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and retail software.
  • A strategic mindset to develop and execute effective merchandising strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
