Durianpay was established in 2020 with a vision to build modern business payments stack which helps improve customer as well as merchant experience in the region. Beyond payments, we aim to be a one stop solution for checkout, promos, reconciliation and many more.
As a Government Relations Senior Associate, your role will be pivotal in managing high-level government stakeholder engagement, establishing necessary programs to meet regulatory objectives, and identifying areas where our client can make an impact. Your ability to anticipate regulatory outcomes and provide technical support to authorities will be crucial in this role. Your excellent communication skills will be put to use as you draft briefing papers for senior management and build strong relationships with various government agencies.
Job Descriptions:
- Establish and maintain relationship with important government agencies / industry associations / third parties. Leveraging governmental relationship to assist in permits and license application process.
- Arrange high-level meetings and attend public events, identify potential risks / business opportunities and advocate for the interest of Durianpay.
- Tackle product compliance and various ad hoc corporate issues that might arise from government agencies.
- Be part of internal crisis management team to liaison with government agencies during crisis. Lead incident response relating to government requirement, negotiate with government authorities to advocate for business priorities, and appropriately escalate when needed to drive solution.
- Draft briefing papers for senior management on relevant regulatory and policy updates or speaking engagements.
- Provide risk management, offer advice counsel, clarification and guidance on any governmental affairs issues.
Kualifikasi
Requirements：
- Bachelor's degree from relevant field (e.g. Politics, International Relations, Legal, Politics, etc).
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in government, and/or in government affairs functions with a renowned multinational corporation, consulting firm, law firm, industrial association, etc.
- Experience in Bank Indonesia, OJK, and any other payment service provider related regulators is plus.
- Fluent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills in Bahasa and English.
- Good network of key government body, regulatory agencies, industry organization and other stakeholders in Indonesia.
- Proven experience of working directly with Indonesia policymakers and regulators.
- Strategic thinker with leadership, outreach, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and to work collaboratively across different teams (internal and external) in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to grasp complex technical and policy issues and communicate key messages with internal and external stakeholders. Willing to working on difficult issues and capability in solving problems creatively.
