We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Formulator Executive to join our R&D team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining fragrance or personal care formulations that meet quality, safety, regulatory, and cost requirements. As an Assistant Manager–level role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute both technically and strategically to product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, reformulate, and optimize fragrance or personal care products in line with brand, performance, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct formulation trials, stability tests, and product performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing during product development and scale-up.
  • Support new product development (NPD) projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Troubleshoot formulation, raw material, and production-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international cosmetic regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation, formulation records, and technical reports.
  • Evaluate new raw materials, fragrance ingredients, and emerging trends in the market.
  • Support cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Act as a technical contributor and provide guidance to junior team members when required.

Kualifikasi

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, or related fields.
  • 5–8 years of experience in formulation development, preferably in fragrance and/or personal care products.
  • Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic or fragrance formulation and laboratory work.
  • Good understanding of cosmetic regulations, safety assessments, and product compliance.
  • Familiar with stability testing, scale-up processes, and manufacturing challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
