Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- Engineering & Delivery — Own delivery across products, keeping timelines and quality on track. Plan sprints, manage the backlog, and stay accountable for output and technical debt.
- Technical Leadership — Own architecture decisions, balancing scalability and speed. Stay hands-on with code reviews and tough problems. Keep the stack (Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB) running well.
- Team Leadership — Lead and grow the team, including reviews and mentoring. Delegate execution to the Assistant Engineering Lead, but stay accountable for results.
- Process & Quality — Improve engineering processes and release standards. Push quality through code reviews and testing.
- Collaboration — Work with the CTO and Product/Design/Business teams on roadmap and planning. Keep communication clear on progress and risks.
- Scaling — Improve tooling and team structure as the company grows. Fix bottlenecks early, without over-engineering.
Success Indicators
Delivery is predictable and high-quality. Systems are stable and scalable. The team keeps improving. Direction is clear, with minimal firefighting and strong teamwork with the CTO.
Kualifikasi
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years leading an engineering team or acting as an Engineering Manager / Lead.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB.
- Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, reliable systems in a production environment.
- Experience owning end-to-end delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and execution in an Agile/Scrum setup.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including mentoring, performance feedback, and team development.
- Comfortable working in a lean startup environment, balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating closely with Product, Business, and CTO-level stakeholders.
