- Plan and optimize routes for drivers to minimize travel time, fuel usage, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Track the location and status of vehicles using GPS or fleet management software and maintain real-time communication with drivers.
- Provide timely updates to customers on delivery schedules, delays, or any other issues.
- Handle unexpected issues (e.g., traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns) and coordinate solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure all drivers comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, driver activity, and delivery reports.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as warehouse or customer service, to ensure all aspects of delivery are aligned with business requirements.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, ideally within transportation or delivery services.
- Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS, and fleet management systems.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word) for reporting and record keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with drivers and clients.
- Strong critical-thinking skills to handle unforeseen challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on urgency.
- Familiarity with regional geography, road networks, and traffic patterns.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends or nights, as required by operational demands.
- Meticulous with information accuracy for route planning and record keeping.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and addressing any concerns.
