Category Manager

As our Astronaut, your missions are:

• Build strong relationships with your suppliers and execute negotiations to ensure the best assortment and pricing offers
• Analyze key metrics and identify assortment gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance
• Liaise with Supply Chain and Planning departments to maximize revenue and financial targets within the respective product category
• Utilize both internal and external data effectively to make smart and educated decisions to drive incremental sales
• Act as the main point of contact for supplier partners and new partnership prospects
• Most importantly, establish an overall product portfolio that goes beyond meeting customer expectations, resulting in uncalculated customer delight. Be customer-obsessed!

In order to launch the missions successfully, you need to have:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management, Sales, Communication or relevant fields.
• Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in the related field or position, such as Buyer, Merchandiser, or Key Account Manager in FMCG categories specifically Food.
• Strong analytical & market knowledge of FMCG Food.
• Prior experience in e-commerce is a must.
• Strong communication skills. Able to communicate and negotiate well with vendors/suppliers/people in general.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A passion for the grocery industry and an eagerness to stay up to date with the latest trends and developments.
• Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and Google Dashboard
• Proficient in both Bahasa and English.
