- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and manage data pipelines that efficiently extract data from various sources, transform it to meet the organization's requirements, and load it into data storage systems such as data warehouses or data lakes.
- Database Management: Create and maintain databases to store structured and unstructured data securely, ensuring data availability, reliability, and performance.
- Data Modeling: Develop data models that align with business requirements and facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis. This includes defining data schemas and structures.
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes: Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure smooth and timely data movement between systems, databases, and data storage solutions.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, including databases, APIs, third-party services, and streaming platforms.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.
- Data Security and Governance: Implement data security measures to protect sensitive data and adhere to data privacy regulations. Establish and follow data governance practices to maintain data quality and compliance.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor data infrastructure performance and proactively optimize data systems for improved efficiency, scalability, and response time.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Utilize cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to design and deploy scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
- Collaboration with Data Scientists and Analysts: Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with access to high-quality data for analysis and reporting.
- Automation and Orchestration: Implement automation and orchestration techniques to streamline data engineering processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve data-related issues, troubleshoot data processing problems, and provide timely support to maintain data availability.
- Documentation: Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices, and integrate them into the organization's data infrastructure where relevant.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, such as software engineers, DevOps, and business stakeholders, to align data engineering efforts with broader organizational goals.
Kualifikasi
- Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
- Data Modeling and Database Skills: Experience in designing and implementing data models, along with strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and distributed computing concepts.
- ETL Tools: Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and experience in designing and implementing data pipelines.
- Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience deploying data solutions in the cloud.
- Data Quality and Governance: Knowledge of data quality best practices and data governance principles to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data engineering challenges.
- Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to keep up with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and related technologies.
