Muhamad Yani

Hi, my name is Muhamad Yani, but most people call me Yans. I’m a Student Support and College/University Counselor who truly loves working with students to help them discover their strengths, build confidence, and believe in their own potential. For me, counseling is not just about admissions or grades, it’s about listening with empathy, understanding personal challenges, and supporting each student’s journey with kindness and care. I have spent over three years guiding learners from different backgrounds in both academic and personal growth. Currently, I’m pursuing my M.Ed. in Human Development and Education at Harvard University as an LPDP Scholar, where I focus on how emotional intelligence shapes resilience and success. Alongside my studies, I founded the Leuweung Hub Foundation and lead Bumi Scholar, two initiatives that have connected with tens of thousands of students around the world, especially first-generation, low- to middle-income, and international students worldwide. My work combines college and university counseling, mental health advocacy, and career readiness support. I’ve been fortunate to guide students toward opportunities at leading universities like MIT, Harvard, an other top universities in the world, but what inspires me most is seeing students grow into confident, hopeful, and resilience.
