Janu Muhammad

I am the Founder of Sayur Sleman, an agri-social entrepreneurship platform to provide fresh vegetable, fruit, and meat from local market. We help local people in Yogyakarta, Indonesia to shop from home. Since 2009 I have been actively organizing and leading various social projects in schools, organizations, youth communities, campuses, and workplace. With more than 10 years of experience, I am passionate about social entrepreneurship, writing, and community empowerment. Some of the awards I received: Young Ambassador Agriculture Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia (2023, Indonesian Delegation at the 2023 ASEAN Farmers Gathering, Global Future Fellows by Pijar Foundation (2023), Selected Participants in the 2023 SDG Academy Leadership Program, Sociopreneur Award by PT Paragon Technology and Innovation (2021), Winner of the Urban Innovation Challenge by UND Accelerator Lab Indonesia (2021), 1st Place for National Youth Farmers Ambassador (2022), Delegation of PKPMN Kemenpora 2022, 1st Place for Indonesian Youth Inspiration (2020), and various other achievements. I have also published 10 book anthologies. Previously, Janu had studied community empowerment through a YSEALI Academic Fellowship scholarship at Arizona State University.
