Job Description
The Website Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for protecting the company’s website and web applications from cyber threats. This includes securing web servers, applications, databases, and user data, while ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and secure the company’s website, web applications, and user data.
- Implement security protocols, firewalls, and encryption to protect against web-based attacks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security audits for websites and web apps.
- Respond to and resolve website-related security incidents and breaches.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate secure coding practices.
- Stay up-to-date on web security trends, threats, and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT,or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on website or web application security.
- Strong knowledge of web security protocols, firewalls, and encryption techniques.
- Familiarity with web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mitigation strategies.
- Experience with securing content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of security regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS) is a plus.
Skills:
- Experience with web vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
- Familiarity with securing APIs and cloud-based web applications (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with web development teams.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
