Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor to craft compelling promotional materials for our non-sports content. This position is fully responsible for the quality, creativity, and timely delivery of non-sports promotional materials. This includes trailers, teasers, & other promotional content for Original Series, licensed titles, & partnership for multi-platform media (TV Broadcast, Social Media, and Events).
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Mentorship: Assist the lead in managing daily output, schedules, and task distribution. Mentor junior editors by providing technical guidance, constructive feedback, and storytelling best practices to ensure high-quality, timely deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Before distribution, perform comprehensive reviews of team-generated video content to verify that all visual, audio, pacing, and graphical elements align with established technical standards and brand requirements.
- Workflow Management: Optimize the post-production workflow—from media ingest, offline editing, and rendering, to final archiving—ensuring a structured and efficient process.
- Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with Creative, Social Media, and Project Management teams to convert marketing briefs into effective video assets. Assist in developing creative concepts into high-impact teasers, trailers, and promotional content for Original and licensed series.
- Multi-Platform Adaptation: Ensure the team produces video assets in various aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 3:4) and formats, fully optimized for diverse digital and broadcast platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of professional video editing experience in entertainment, TV, OTT, or creative agencies; 1+ years in a leadership role (Lead/Senior) is preferred.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio or showreel specifically demonstrating expertise in editing film/series trailers and entertainment promos.
- Storytelling Skills: A keen sensibility for pacing, rhythm, music selection, and narrative structure to evoke emotion and build hype through promo videos (ranging from 10 to 60 seconds).
- Managerial Skills: Proven ability to work under pressure, possess strong problem-solving skills, and comfortably deliver constructive feedback to team members.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless collaboration with various stakeholders.
Job Skills
- Editing Software (Advanced/Expert Level): a. Adobe Premiere Pro: Advanced proficiency, including DME editing and proxy workflows. b. Adobe After Effects: Intermediate to advanced skills in motion graphics, motion tracking and basic compositing.
- Audio & Color Correction: a. Deep knowledge of audio mixing and sound design, encompassing dialogue, SFX, and music b. Select appropriate musical tracks for promotional videos that align with the specific mood references provided by requesters.
- Formats & Technical Specifications: a. In-depth understanding of various video codecs (H.264, ProRes, MXF, etc), bitrates, and frame rates. b. Thorough understanding of broadcast standards (broadcast safe area & audio levels) and deliverable specifications for digital platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc).
- Media Management: a. Experience using shared server storage (NAS/Cloud Storage). b. Exceptional organizational skills regarding project structuring and file management.
