Job Description
- Create clear, concise, and engaging content for various digital products, including websites, mobile apps, and software interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to understand user needs, goals, and pain points.
- Develop user personas and use cases to inform content creation and ensure that the user's perspective is at the forefront of decision-making.
- Craft microcopy, error messages, onboarding flows, and other interface text that aligns with the brand voice and tone.
- Conduct content audits and make recommendations for improvements based on usability testing, user feedback, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with localization teams to adapt content for international audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic accuracy.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to UX writing and user-centered design.
- Advocate for consistency, clarity, and accessibility in all user-facing content, contributing to the development and maintenance of content style guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Strategist, or similar role, preferably within a technology-driven company.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing skills, with a focus on digital content for user interfaces.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate complex concepts into user-friendly language.
- Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to achieve shared goals.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with usability testing, user research, or other methods of gathering user feedback is a plus.
- A passion for technology, user experience, and staying current with industry trends and advancements.
