Job Description
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for trade-related goods and services, including Point of Sales Materials (POSM), promotional materials, merchandising equipment, event support, and third-party marketing services.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers to support commercial and trade marketing initiatives while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Conduct supplier quotations, price negotiations, contract discussions, and commercial evaluations to achieve the best value for the company.
- Collaborate closely with Trade Marketing, Sales, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to understand procurement requirements and ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO), delivery monitoring, invoice verification, and vendor payment coordination.
- Monitor supplier performance, service level agreements (SLA), and delivery timelines, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain an approved vendor database and perform periodic supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies, governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and procurement optimization through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation.
- Support national and regional trade campaigns by ensuring procurement readiness and timely availability of promotional materials.
- Coordinate procurement activities for product launches, trade activations, exhibitions, and customer engagement programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience managing procurement activities across multiple regions, preferably in an OTC pharmaceutical business environment. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain, OTC products, vendor management, and distribution networks.
- Experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, distributors, logistics providers, and third-party service vendors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, tender administration, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and procurement cost optimization.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and compliance standards is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven procurement decisions.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel for procurement analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Commercial, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory functions.
- Willing to travel frequently within the assigned region.
