Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test, launch, and continuously improve our global omnichannel eCommerce platform with new customer features. Test and release products that delight customers and convert into commercial success! We have already launched the platform in more than 10 countries, and our ambitious goal is to deliver it to more banners in the coming years!
  • Co-create our own unique platform, which is fully MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless). Our tech stack is as good as it can be, and we use the most innovative technologies.
  • We have 4 Domain Teams that take ownership of parts of our omnichannel customer journey, you will be working in one of these teams;
  • Browse to Order (PLP, PDP, Landing Pages, Home Page, Campaign Pages, Site Search & Merchandising)
  • Order to Cash (Cart /Checkout /Payment)
  • Omnichannel (My Account, Store & Appointment Booking)
  • Prescription Glasses & Contact Lenses (PDP, RX Configurator and Subscriptions)
  • You will work closely with (both internal and external resources), including backend developers, frontend developers, UX designers, visual /UI designers, an architect, and DevOps engineers.
  • You are accountable for the delivery and execution of the automated tests supporting the customer experience of the global ecommerce product and its related security, performance, integrity, and scalability; this product powers millions of customers every day.
  • Champion the need for superior customer experience throughout the execution of a project, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original CX goals, objectives, quality, coding standards, and complies with our software and architecture principles.
  • Deliver product incrementally in bi-weekly Agile scrum sprints and on schedule.
  • Writing and deploying clean and well-documented tests
  • Mentoring other members of the team via joint programming, code reviews, etc.
  • Champion the need for superior customer experience throughout the execution of a project, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original CX goals and objectives, and complies with our software & architecture principles.
  • Work with the teams to identify improvements for existing and new core services, and collaborate to define the solution direction for both domain-specific features and cross-platform improvements.
  • Liaise with tech leads, architects, and communities to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Be the expert on the details of our platform, applications & products.

Decision Making (Financial Responsibility (budget, P&L, etc.))

Scope of Authority

  • Define and create the test deliverables for the assigned project team.
  • Development and creation of Automation deliverables across teams based on end-to-end customer journeys
  • Responsible for triaging, reporting, and assigning identified defects to the correct teams for review and closure.
  • Setting up and maintaining the automation framework to run across multiple devices in a CI/CD pipeline with the help of DevOps engineers.
  • Quality is responsible for operational QA as part of the overall agile way of working, but also responsible for all improvements in the mid-term and long-term related to the overall QA strategy, and to continuously improve quality, scope while maintaining testing costs. Our main strategy is about automation, for happy and unhappy flows for each and every software line of code that is written and deployed.

Requirements

Requirements (Knowledge & Technical Skills):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s, preferably, in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 4+years of experience in delivering high-quality QA eCommerce and/or digital products.
  • Extensive knowledge sharing on agile, lean, and SAFe.
  • Large group facilitation and overseeing the bigger picture.
  • You know our third-party SaaS products and know how to integrate them in the best way possible.
  • Expert knowledge in Test Automation Frameworks based on Test Driven Development & Behaviour-driven Development, using the Cucumber language
  • Expert knowledge & experience with developing Front-End tests using Selenium-based Webdriver tooling, specifically WebdriverIO.
  • Expert knowledge of Back-end, micro-services, and interface validation using Postman and interface specifications.
  • Expert knowledge in designing test cases to run against multiple Mobile devices using the SauceLabs emulator and physical devices.
  • Expert knowledge & experience on all testing levels (Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance) and techniques (e.g., Smoke, Regression, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of manual testing techniques across all test levels
  • Advanced knowledge of the Typescript language used to develop automation test scenarios
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with CI/CD tooling within a DevOps environment in Microsoft Azure cloud.
  • Advanced knowledge of design-led customer-obsessed digital product development.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in developing customer-facing B2C eCommerce products in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum (this is a must).
  • Advanced experience working within a bigger strategic program with multiple teams, to apply project management skills.
  • You understand the importance of performance, security, monitoring, and logging aspects of building products.
  • eCommerce & CMS experience (e.g., commerceTools, Bloomreach).
  • Search & merchandising platforms (e.g., Algolia search, Elasticsearch).
  • Headless eCommerce platforms (e.g., CommerceTools) and CMS experience.
