- Continuously improving the standard for software architecture documentation and review processes
- Continuously improving the standard for deployment and release management
- Researching potential new technology to be used in our products
- Providing technical consultation to both engineers and non-engineers
- Translates business goals into scalable tech solutions
- Liaising with Product Management and Infrastructure Engineering organizations to make sure the current architecture fits the company’s direction from cost and quality perspectives
- Organizing domain-specific technical sharing sessions for engineers across organization
Requirements
- 8+ Years of Overall Experience with Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in computer science or other related fields with strong fundamental in algorithms, data structures, data modelling, and OOP
- 4+ years of experience in planning, architecting, designing, developing and delivering software related to platforms at scale
- Can demonstrate deep mastery on full text search engines (Elasticsearch)
- Exposure to using the Lucene library will also be soughted after.
- Hands-on experience in Elasticsearch cluster operationalization, configuration tuning, query optimization, scaling, preferable on highly distributed and highly loaded large clusters. Must be able to demonstrate past experience in relevancy tuning.
- Owned a highly specialized skill on a single aspect of technology (let us know what it is)
- Can quickly prototype and develop programs in Golang
- Must have experience in : GCP, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, or other automation and operationalizing distributed tech stack
- Has a good understanding of software architecture, scalable data intensive architecture, and how to work in a team effectively.
- Knowledge on machine learning topics relevant to search, such as Natural Language Processing, vector search, building ML training pipeline, evaluating search quality, ranking model, and operationalizing the end-to-end stack.
- Experienced on distributed systems and database partitioning
- Knowledge of data security, data privacy, and related information security best practices.
- Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability
- Extensive experience in marketplace-related technology.
