Job Description

1. Conduct User Research:

  • Plan, design, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiries) to gather insights from business clients.
  • Utilize a variety of research methods to capture user needs, motivations, and behaviors.

2. Analyze and Synthesize Research Findings:

  • Analyze research data to identify patterns and insights.
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to cross-functional teams, including product management, design, engineering, and marketing.

3. Collaborate with Product Teams:

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure research findings are integrated into product development.
  • Advocate for the user by providing clear and compelling evidence of user needs and preferences.

4. Develop User Personas and Journey Maps:

  • Create detailed user personas and journey maps based on research data to guide product development and design decisions.
  • Identify pain points and opportunities for improving the user experience for business clients.

5. Facilitate Workshops and Design Sprints:

  • Lead UX workshops and design sprints with stakeholders to collaboratively develop solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops to generate innovative solutions.

6. Monitor Industry Trends and Best Practices:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, UX best practices, and emerging research methodologies to continually enhance the research process and outputs.
  • Benchmark against competitor products to identify areas of improvement and innovation.

7. Contribute to UX Strategy and Vision:

  • Participate in defining and refining the UX strategy and vision for B2B products.
  • Collaborate on long-term user research plans that align with product roadmaps and business goals.

8. Prepare and Present Reports:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deliver presentations to senior management and key stakeholders to influence product direction and strategy.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in UX research, preferably in a B2B environment.
  3. Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods and when to apply each.
  4. Experience with various research tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, Hotjar, etc.).
  5. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  6. Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively convey research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  8. Familiarity with product management and agile development processes is a plus.
  9. Knowledge of B2B industry trends, challenges, and user behaviors is highly desirable.
