Job Description

Job Brief:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our HR team. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with all applicable regulations, and providing exceptional service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

A payroll officer can use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They also have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives.

The goal is to ensure personnel receive the correct compensation promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll information and/or payroll changes in the payroll system (salaries, allowances, tax configuration, BPJS information, etc.).
  • Processing the correct payroll calculation incorporating allowances, incentives, overtime, deductions, bonuses, income tax, etc. with the assistance of a payroll system.
  • Processing accurate and timely manner reports through other systems related to payroll components (e.g. DJP Online, Edabu, SIPP, etc.).
  • Prepare accurate income tax reporting as well as manage multiple company tax IDs.
  • Liaise with auditors and/or consultants, both internal or external, and manage payroll and/or tax audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare payroll reports for upper management, finance department, etc.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll-related inquiries from employees or the Finance Department.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation & benefits policies and procedures to streamline payroll processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience
  • Proven experience and ability to provide income tax reports and solutions to upper management, Finance Department, or auditor.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g. Talenta, SunFish, Darwinbox, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (especially Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional certification is a plus.
