Job Description
Social Impact Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive social impact assessments to identify and evaluate the potential social and cultural impacts of the project on local communities.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate any negative impacts.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Lead community engagement initiatives to foster positive relationships with local stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and other outreach activities to gather feedback and input.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project management, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to community relations.
- Address community concerns and expectations in project planning and execution.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on social impact and community engagement activities.
- Document feedback, concerns, and suggestions from community interactions.
Sustainability and Compliance:
- Ensure that all community engagement and social impact activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Advocate for and incorporate sustainable and socially responsible practices into project activities.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead a team of social expert, community liaisons, and other relevant personnel.
- Coordinate with other project teams to integrate social aspects into the broader project goals.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, forestry, social science, or other relevant majors.
- Minimum 1 year experience in developing social assessment reports, management, and monitoring plans.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and communication skills.
- Remote working, temporary for 3 months and have a willingness to travel for visits to client head offices and/or operational sites.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and evolving project environment.
