Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Security Engineer to lead and elevate our security program. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect our cryptocurrency exchange, its users, and assets. You will be a key contributor to our security strategy and will work closely with different teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
What will you do:
- Security Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of our security program.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement secure architectures and solutions for our platform, including cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and mobile applications.
- Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment: Conduct threat modeling exercises and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize security efforts.
- Security Engineering: Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, and SIEMs.
- Cloud Security: Ensure the security of our cloud infrastructure and services, implementing best practices for cloud security and compliance.
- Container and Orchestration Security: Secure our containerized environments and orchestration platforms, focusing on network policies, container security, access controls, and secure deployment pipelines.
- Mobile Application Security: Collaborate with mobile app developers to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Security Monitoring: Develop and maintain security monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to security threats.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and security standards.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to promote a security-first culture within the organization.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior security team members
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role, with a proven track record of success in building and managing security programs.
- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency security concepts.
- Experience with securing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, and SIEMs.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
