Job Description
- Manage the accounts payable process: This includes overseeing the receipt and verification of invoices, processing payments accurately and on time, and reconciling accounts
- Develop and implement AP policies and procedures: You would be responsible for designing and implementing processes to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the AP department.
- Supervise a team of AP officers: You would lead and manage a team of AP officers to ensure that they are meeting their performance objectives.
- Work with vendors and suppliers: You would be responsible for building relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating payment terms and resolving any payment-related issues.
- Analyze financial data: You would be required to analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations: You would need to ensure that all financial transactions comply with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- R&D Improvement for Finance Team - create an effective dashboard that helps you track and analyze key performance indicators in AP department.
- Organize the data: Organize the data in a format that is easy to read and understand. Consider using charts or graphs to visualize the data and make it more accessible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Employers may also prefer candidates who have relevant professional certifications, such as Brevet (a) & (b)
- Min 4-5 years of working experience in accounts payable or a related field is required.
- Strong analytical skills: As a Senior AP Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve processes. Strong analytical skills are essential, particularly in Excel.
- Detail-oriented: Accounts payable involves processing large volumes of data and ensuring that payments are made accurately and on time. As such, attention to detail is critical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (min : able to create dasboard for AP Tracker using Excel)
- Leadership and communication skills: As a senior member of the AP team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of AP officers. Therefore, strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of accounting software: Knowledge of accounting software, such as Netsuite s or SAP, is will be advantage
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and Compliance knowledge: Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Ability to work independently: As a Senior AP Officer, you will need to work independently, make decisions, and take responsibility for your actions.
