Job Description
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality backend services and APIs
- Write clean, maintainable code following SOLID principles and industry best practices
- Has solid understanding of databases, SQL and optimization techniques
- Actively monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues responsively
- Collaborate directly with client product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions
- Provide accurate effort estimates and contribute to technical planning discussions
- Write and maintain clear & concise, effective technical documentation
- Participate periodically in code reviews and mentor junior developers (only if needed)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
- Highly proficient with one or more programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, Javascript or similar
- Strong experience with relational databases e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc
- Some experience with maintaining services in production environments
- Light experience with server-side caching, message brokers and event-driven architecture
- Has basic knowledge of modern software development tooling such as Git, APM, CI/CD, etc
- Comfortable working with command line and Linux-based operating systems
- Responsible and self-driven; able to deliver work under limited supervision
- Highly motivated learner and problem-solver, able to tackle issues with limited guidance
