Position Overview
This position is a key role within our Finance Department and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, while also supporting strategic business initiatives.
The ideal candidate is not only technically strong in accounting and financial reporting, but also demonstrates the ability to lead with confidence, communicate effectively across departments, and contribute to process improvements and business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Conduct month-end closing and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Generate additional financial reports required by management.
Performance Monitoring and Budgeting
- Review and analyze financial performance against budgets.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
Reconciliation and Analysis
- Perform reconciliations and analyses of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in bank accounts.
Inventory and Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Manage cash flow to meet operational and strategic needs.
Compliance and Policy Adherence
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legislative requirements.
- Adhere to group policies and maintain alignment with organizational guidelines.
Support and Other Tasks
- Assist management with ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.
Leadership Role
- Provide guidance, constructive feedback and support to junior finance team members.
- Help the team grow by identifying development opportunities and mentoring where appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a senior-level role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of local tax regulations, accounting standards, and compliance matters
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Leadership potential and the ability to mentor or guide junior team members
- High level of integrity and professionalism
