Castanea Art Shop 

is an art-focused retail business specializing in trinkets, stationery, and print goods. We are expanding our reach through local and international distribution while actively participating in art markets and fairs. To support this growth, we are seeking a Retail & Event Coordinator to drive sales through local outlets, consignment partnerships, and event participation.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Distribution

  • Identify and establish partnerships with local consignment stores (e.g., Grammars, Polly, Kinokuniya, Mata Lokal) to expand Castanea’s distribution network.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing retail partners to ensure continued sales and brand presence.
  • Secure distribution agreements in international export markets by setting up sales channels (Etsy, Amazon, Alibaba) and tracking progress.
  • Allocate and manage budgets for targeted paid advertising to boost overseas sales channels.

Event Coordination

  • Organize and oversee Castanea’s participation at offline bazaars and art markets annually (e.g., Press Print Party, JICAF, Jakarta Doodle Fest, Kira Kira Market, Artket).
  • Handle event logistics, including vendor applications, booth setup, merchandise preparation, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development team to create engaging campaigns before, during, and after each event.
  • Monitor event performance metrics, collect customer feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in retail coordination, event planning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of consignment sales and retail distribution strategies.
  • Experience in managing e-commerce platforms (Etsy, Amazon, Alibaba) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for art, stationery, and creative industries is highly desirable.
