Research Associate (Product Testing)

1. Research Leadership and Strategy

• Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s long-term research vision and strategy to address key challenges in food and horticultural crop cultivation.
• Direct the design and execution of high-impact, innovative research programs.
• Identify new research opportunities, potential collaborations, and funding sources.
• Promote innovation and ensure the organization stays ahead by integrating the latest technologies and cultivation methodologies into research programs.

2. Research Management and Supervision

• Supervise and provide guidance to the research team, including Research Officers, in day-today research activities.
• Lead in-depth research on food and horticultural crops to improve productivity and quality.
• Direct the development and testing of best farming practices, including irrigation techniques, fertilization, and pest control.
• Evaluate and approve research protocols and ensure adherence to ethical research standards.

3. Advanced Data Analysis and Reporting

• Oversee data collection processes, ensure data integrity, and validate the interpretation of complex research data.
• Ensure the team uses appropriate and advanced data analysis software.
• Lead in crafting data-driven strategic recommendations for program and policy development.
• Review, approve, and often co-author high-level research reports, scientific publications, and presentations for senior management, donors, and academic forums.

4. SOP Development and Oversight

• Lead the development, review, and updates of SOPs to ensure efficient, effective, and highstandard cultivation and research practices.
• Ensure SOP compliance across all research projects and provide guidance in their implementation.

5. Collaboration, Communication, and Dissemination

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with farmers, researchers, academic institutions, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in scientific forums, professional networks, and high-level stakeholder meetings.
• Design and oversee knowledge dissemination programs, including field days, workshops, publications, and conferences to ensure wide-reaching research impact.

6. Documentation and Knowledge Management

• Establish standards and oversee the documentation of all research processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and traceability.
• Manage research documentation systems to comply with ethical and regulatory standardsfor reference, audits, and intellectual property protection.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (S1), preferably a Master’s degree (S2), in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Plant Protection, or related fields.
• Extensive and proven research experience (minimum 5–7 years), with a track record of publications and successful project management in food and horticultural crops.
• Experience in leading and managing research teams.
• Advanced skills in experimental design, statistical data analysis, and use of data analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS).
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities including strategic planning, project management, and staff development.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Ability to network and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience in writing research proposals and securing research funding.
• Comprehensive knowledge of agri-input products (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and biologicals), including application, efficacy, and impact.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to the highest standards in research, documentation, and reporting.
• Deep understanding of current issues and future trends in agronomy, plant protection, and product testing at both global and local levels.
