Job Description
1. Strategy
- Define & Monitor Fresh & Frozen KPIs: Establish key performance indicators specifically for fresh and frozen inventory handling, temperature control, spoilage rates, and fulfillment times. Ensure these align with broader management goals and customer expectations for quality and speed.
- Fresh & Frozen Process Optimization: Design and monitor end-to-end improvements in fresh and frozen storage, picking, and delivery processes. Focus on minimizing waste, maintaining quality, and improving efficiency across the supply chain.
- Cold Chain Management: Analyze bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the cold chain (from supplier to fulfillment to delivery) and implement long-term solutions for optimal temperature control and product integrity.
- Technology Integration: Incorporate innovative tech solutions, such as temperature-monitoring IoT devices, to automate quality checks and ensure real-time tracking of fresh and frozen inventory.
2. BAU (Business as Usual)
- Customer-Centric Fresh & Frozen Improvements: Ensure that any process improvements related to fresh & frozen operations directly improve customer value, such as fresher deliveries, quicker fulfillment, and reduced stockouts.
- Coordination with Vertical Operations: Collaborate with stakeholders in procurement, warehouse, and fulfillment to streamline handling, storage, and delivery of fresh and frozen goods. Regularly review and refine SOPs specific to cold storage, picking, and dispatch.
3. Managing Team
- Training in Fresh & Frozen Best Practices: Provide specialized training to teams handling fresh and frozen items on temperature sensitivity, FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Team Performance Metrics: Set performance goals for the fresh & frozen fulfillment team, focusing on maintaining product quality and minimizing spoilage or damage. Regularly assess team performance based on these metrics.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in managing the supply chain for fresh and frozen products in a fast-paced environment.
- Process Expertise: Demonstrated ability to analyze, optimize, and improve processes related to fresh and frozen inventory handling, storage, and delivery.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proven track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Benchmark Knowledge: Familiarity with industry benchmarks and best practices for fresh and frozen supply chain management.
- Quick-Commerce Experience: Prior experience in the quick-commerce industry is a plus.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with technology tools and systems used in supply chain management, such as temperature monitoring devices and inventory management software.
