Job Description
Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will lead our sourcing and purchasing efforts, with a strong focus on securing high-quality materials and components from suppliers in China and other overseas countries. This role requires someone who can manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and navigate the end-to-end supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers and manufacturers in China and other overseas countries for solar panels, components, and related materials.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs and maintain high quality standards.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import clearance and compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor inventory needs and manage purchasing timelines to prevent stock shortages or project delays.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and resolve any quality or delivery issues directly with overseas vendors.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Language Proficiency: Must be completely fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) to communicate effectively with overseas suppliers.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, with a proven track record of handling suppliers in China.
- Sourcing Skills: Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor evaluation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience handling customs clearance, import documentation, and international logistics regulations.
- Prior procurement experience within the renewable energy, solar, or manufacturing industries.
