Job Description
- Develop accurate garment patterns based on designer sketches, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Create first patterns for sample development using CAD pattern-making software.
- Ensure patterns meet design intent, fit standards, construction requirements, and production feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Technical Designers, Merchandisers, and Sample Room throughout the product development process. Revise patterns based on fitting sessions, comments, and production requirements.
- Prepare grading for different sizes while maintaining garment proportions and fit consistency.
- Create and maintain marker layouts to optimize fabric utilization and minimize material waste.
- Review garment measurements and ensure compliance with company size specifications
- Maintain pattern archives and technical documentation for future reference.
- Support production teams in resolving technical issues related to garment construction and fit. Ensure all patterns are completed within development timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma/ High school in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Pattern Making, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pattern Maker in the apparel or fashion retail industry prefer ladies product.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, fabric behavior, and fit.
- Proficient in manual pattern making and CAD software (such as Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Tukatech, or similar).
