Job Description

  • Administer Oracle databases, including database creation, configuration, migration, cloning, schema management, tablespace management, and user administration.
  • Monitor database availability, performance, sessions, resource utilization, alert logs, archive logs, wait events, and blocking sessions.
  • Manage Oracle backup and recovery activities using RMAN, including backup validation, recovery testing, restore support, and disaster recovery support.
  • Support Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and cluster environments.
  • Perform SQL performance tuning, query optimization, statistics maintenance, AWR/ASH analysis, and database parameter tuning.
  • Manage database security, including user access reviews, privilege management, password policies, audit monitoring, and compliance activities.
  • Plan and support Oracle database patching (PSU/RU), verification, rollback, and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze database growth trends, capacity utilization, and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot database incidents, investigate corruption issues, prepare RCA reports, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Produce operational documentation and reports, including health checks, backup reports, performance reports, and monthly service reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Strong experience administering Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, and Oracle Grid Infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
  • Strong understanding of SQL tuning, query optimization, and Oracle performance tuning.
  • Experience analyzing AWR, ASH, ADDM, and execution plans.
  • Good understanding of Oracle security, database patching, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
