Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver structured English lessons (General, Business, and Academic English such as TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC preparation).
- Conduct mock exams and provide feedback to improve performance in IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC.
- Develop all four core skills:
- Listening: through audio exercises, note-taking drills, and real-life simulations.
- Speaking: via presentations, debates, discussions, and pronunciation practice.
- Reading: using comprehension passages, skimming/scanning tasks, and academic texts.
- Writing: with essays, reports, creative writing, and grammar-focused assignments.
- Incorporate multimedia (video, podcasts, online articles) and interactive classroom activities (role plays, games, group projects).
- Create lesson materials tailored to different student goals (school support, exam prep, workplace communication).
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different student levels, ages, and learning styles.
- Assign and review homework, projects, and assessments to track student progress.
- Teach functional English for daily conversations, academic settings, and professional contexts.
- Provide personalized feedback and additional support for students who need extra guidance.
- Monitor class discipline, attendance, and learning atmosphere to maintain a productive environment.
- Contribute to curriculum improvement by sharing insights, materials, and innovative teaching ideas.
- Communicate regularly with students and/or parents on progress and improvement plans.
- Provide targeted grammar instruction and vocabulary building for both general and specialized topics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Language Studies, or related fields.
- Proven teaching experience (minimum 1 year) in English instruction, preferably in a formal school or course setting.
- Strong proficiency in English with excellent grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with communicative and interactive teaching methodologies.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain student engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creativity in developing learning materials and activities.
- Punctual, disciplined, and able to manage time effectively.
