Job Description (Core Outcomes)
- Own LLM features end-to-end: prompt design → orchestration → backend integration → release → monitoring.
- Implement RAG/retrieval systems with real production considerations: chunking, reranking, caching, citations, fallbacks.
- Build agent workflows (tool calling, state, retries, guardrails, fallback models).
- Set up evaluation & monitoring: quality metrics, regression tests for prompt/RAG, latency & cost monitoring.
- Production hardening: prompt-injection defenses, PII handling, rate limits, abuse prevention.
- Optimize cost/performance: caching, batching, model routing (small/large), context trimming.
- Collaborate with Product/Design to craft AI UX that feels “wow” and actually works.
Requirements
Requirements (Must Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as AI Engineer.
- Strong backend engineering (Node.js/TypeScript or Python) with solid API design.
- Proven experience implementing LLM via API (OpenAI/Claude/Gemini) in production or serious shipped projects.
- Strong understanding of: tokens/cost, embeddings, retrieval, hallucination mitigation, and evaluation mindset.
- Familiar with databases & simple pipelines (Postgres/MySQL, queue, cache).
- Engineering maturity: debugging, testing, logging, documentation.
Plus Points (Nice to Have)
- Experience with LangChain/LlamaIndex (or custom orchestration).
- Vector DB experience (pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate).
- Audio pipeline experience (STT/TTS) for interview simulation.
- MLOps/observability stack (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Sentry, etc.).
