Job Description
- Maintain profitability of the category by maintaining the balance of cost of material and selling price
- Providing client with customer focused insight regarding the product and category
- Creating and developing a short-term plan and strategy for the development of the category
- Driving category relationship with the large supplier
- Becoming a leader in category ranging, pricing and promotions across customer channels
- Leading category management projects to optimize ranges and related merchandising
- Working alongside customers and teams to translate customer insights into strategies that drive performance
- Managing a large portfolio of different supplier brands and developing appropriate strategies for each of them.
- Developing strong working relationships with buying, marketing, and merchandising teams is essential
- Product development based on business trends and customer requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from Food Technolgy, Culinary or equivalent.
- Previous experience in merchandising, preferably in F&B, food retail or delicatessen.
- Understand retail business insight.
- Knowledge of premium foods and gourmet products is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good time management and deadline oriented
- A passion for food and customer satisfaction.
- Fluent in English
