Job Description

  • Accurately translated written documents from Mandarin-English-Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa, ensuring the message's clarity, coherence, and cultural relevance for the target audiences.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of localized materials to ensure linguistic correctness, consistency, and compliance with industry-specific and company-specific terminology and style guidelines.
  • Understand and incorporate cultural nuances, preferences, and sensitivities of audiences to ensure content resonates effectively with the target market.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, designers, project managers, and other departments to coordinate and execute localization projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines, juggling multiple assignments, including but not limited to compiling reports and prioritizing tasks according to project needs.
  • Conduct on-the-spot interpretation of business negotiations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Chinese Linguistics, Business or Management, or any related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Overseas graduates will be a plus.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin and English (oral and written) with proven experience in translation and localization, preferably in the tech or e-commerce industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of culture and trends to ensure culturally appropriate translations.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Meticulous and attentive to linguistic accuracy and consistency throughout translations.
  • Willing to go on business trips (if required).
