Job Description
Position Overview
In the capacity of a Legal Associate, you report directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance. Your responsibilities encompass the day-to-day management of legal operations, offering legal assistance to the organization, and ensuring adherence to the laws and regulations especially in the area of financial technology (OJK’s Financial Technology Innovation and Peer-to-Peer Lending).
Role Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of operational legal documents and agreements, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and other commercial arrangements.
- Support the Head of Legal and Compliance in company fundraising activities and other strategic transactions.
- Conduct legal research, provide practical legal advice, and analyze legal and product-related issues, including assessing their risks and implications.
- Support in the application and maintenance of product and business licenses, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and preparing timely submissions to relevant government authorities.
- Provide legal support for internal administrative and operational needs.
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments.
- Participate in internal training or awareness initiatives.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Law from a well-regarded university.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience, either as an in-house legal professional or an associate at a law firm.
- Strong understanding in financial services and personal data protection matters is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating business licensing processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build connections with others.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Able to execute a project that involves various stakeholders with different backgrounds
