Job Description
- Teach Korean language from foundational Hangul reading and writing to advanced grammar and vocabulary.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in alignment with Sekolah Bahasa’s curriculum and teaching standards.
- Build communicative skills through structured speaking, listening, reading, and writing lessons.
- Create interactive learning experiences: conversation circles, listening comprehension with Korean media, and situational role plays.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different student levels, ages, and learning styles.
- Teach grammar progressively, from simple particles and sentence endings to complex clauses and honorifics.
- Provide systematic vocabulary instruction, focusing on daily life, professional, and exam-related topics.
- Design practice sessions for TOPIK preparation, including past papers, timed writing, and listening comprehension.
- Organize quizzes, projects, and assessments to track learner progress.
- Provide personalized feedback and additional support for students who need extra guidance.
- Monitor class discipline, attendance, and learning atmosphere to maintain a productive environment.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback on student assignments and participation.
- Contribute to curriculum improvement by sharing insights, materials, and innovative teaching ideas.
- Communicate regularly with students and/or parents on progress and improvement plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Korean Language, Korean Literature, Education, or related fields.
- Proven teaching experience (minimum 1 year) in Korean instruction, preferably in a formal school or course setting.
- Strong proficiency in Korean with excellent grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with communicative and interactive teaching methodologies.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain student engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creativity in developing learning materials and activities.
- Punctual, disciplined, and able to manage time effectively
