Job Description
Roles and responsibilities :
- Backend development including AWS.
- Design database schema for projects.
- Ensure all generated deployments meet security and compliance standards.
- Manage multiple projects if required.
- Manage databases using services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Redshift to ensure that they are optimised for performance, cost and scalability.
- Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, such as performance, availability and security.
- Work with other teams, such as developers, operations and security, to ensure that cloud-based solutions are integrated and functioning properly.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the cloud infrastructure to ensure that it meets the needs of the organisation and end-users.
- Collaborate with frontend developers.
- Liaise with and manage third party services and resources.
- Follow software development best practices, including maintaining good documentations and establishing test protocols.
- Communicate clearly the development plan and progress to the project team.
- Perform additional duties within a start-up environment, including reasonable engineering tasks, tasks that may not be limited to your expertise, and learning new skills necessary to perform these tasks, and administrative chores such as product launch and related activities.
- Collaborate with the AI Team to integrate AI/ML features.
Requirements
Mandatory requirements:
- Strong technical background in executing software development.
- Must be fluent in English both oral and written.
- Teamwork and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes pride in developing high-quality and efficient software.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.
- Proficiency in:
- Server Language: Golang
- Server Framework: Echo
- Backend Architecture: Microservices & Multi-Databases
- Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, and on-premise servers
- DB: MySQL
- Source code management: GitHub
- Backend Test: Postman
- Python
