Job Description
- Provide daily interpretation (oral) between Japanese and Indonesian for meetings, briefings, and operational discussions.
- Assist Japanese expatriates in communicating with local staff, particularly in factory/production areas.
- Translate documents (written) such as SOPs, reports, emails, and technical instructions.
- Support coordination between departments to ensure clear understanding of instructions and workflows.
- Accompany Japanese staff during site visits, inspections, and operational activities.
- Ensure all translations maintain accuracy, clarity, and confidentiality.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to interpretation/translation when required.
- Be willing to travel (mobile) across factory/operational sites as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferably Japanese Literature or related field.
- Proficient in Japanese (minimum JLPT N2) and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Japanese Interpreter/Translator (fresh graduates with strong language skills are welcome).
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and communication etiquette.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in translation.
- Willing to work on a 6-month contract basis.
- Placement in BSD, willing to travel and work in factory/operational areas (mobile).
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic work environments.
