Job Description

Manage IT Operations

  • Organize and lead weekly or bi-weekly meetings to discuss ongoing issues, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs, facilitate skill development, and mentor team members to foster professional growth.
  • Participate in the recruitment process to hire skilled developers and build a strong, cohesive team.
  • Manage external resources or contractors assigned for IIF and the relationship with the outsourcing service provider company.

Application incident management, bug fixing, and issue resolution

  • Implement and manage an effective tracking system and process for bugs/defects/problems.
  • Develop and maintain incident response and issue resolution plans and processes.
  • Hands-on during the identification, tracking, and resolution of software bugs and IT issues.
  • Prioritize and execute issue resolution to ensure minimal impact and disruptions.
  • Lead incident investigations and post-mortem reviews to identify root causes and implement improvements.
  • Manage stakeholder communication related to incident and issue resolution.

Deployment and Release Management

  • Develop and implement the DevOps strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software releases.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle and propose effective solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies across the organization.
  • Work with IT Infrastructure to Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of resources.
  • Ensure proper documentation and version control of automation scripts and configurations.

IT Governance

  • Ensure IT processes and systems comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all governance-related activities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and assist IT audits to ensure compliance with governance policies.

Manage Stakeholder Communication

  • Manage communication and provide regular updates to stakeholders on issues, deployment and release.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Perform periodic survey on issue resolution to obtain stakeholder feedback and assess incident management quality.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with application service providers/vendors for best service delivery.

Continuous innovation and keeping up-to-date industry trends

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Continually assess and improve development processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate new ideas and technologies within the team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development operations and governance, showcasing a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or managerial role as IT DevOps and IT Governance.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, architectures, and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of IT risk management, incident detection, incident response and compliance management.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management abilities. Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding Of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with setup and deployment in cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledgeable in a source code repository and versioning tools and integration with CI/DC Knowledgeable and familiar with IT processes, policies, and procedures.
