Job Description
- Analyze and understand business requirements related to life insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, and premium processing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, developers, QA) to gather, define, and document detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear system specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Create and maintain business process flows, workflow diagrams, and system documentation.
- Support end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and assist in issue clarification.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL (especially DML commands) to support business and system needs.
- Configure and support insurance product setup within core insurance systems.
- Work with insurance applications, including front-end systems, integrations, and core platforms (e.g., Life400, LifeAsia, or similar).
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality meets business requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and system performance.
- Provide ongoing support and documentation updates for system enhancements or changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst / Business Process Analyst.
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance business processes and rules (e.g., policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, premium processing).
- Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with hands-on experience in full-cycle project implementation.
- Experience working with insurance-related applications (front-end systems, integrations, or core systems).
- Familiarity with core insurance platforms such as Life400 (L400), LifeAsia, or other similar systems.
- Experience in insurance product setup and configuration.
- Proficient in SQL, especially DML commands.
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Ability to create business process flows, workflow diagrams, and system documentation.
- Experience in creating test scenarios and supporting UAT activities.
