About Edufarmers International Foundation

The Edufarmers International Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the four pillars of food security: availability, desirability, access, and utilization of food. Through our innovative programs, we empower local communities and improve food security by addressing critical issues in agriculture and public health. Edufarmers focuses on two main areas:

  1. Agriculture Services and Development: We are currently building our capabilities to do agronomy research to achieve optimal yield, to work with farmers and influencing their behavior to adopt certain agri-inputs, practices, and technologies, and to create agriculture content and material to disseminate them to wider audiences. We have the ambition to develop an Indonesian agriculture production center of excellence with research and training center operations all around Indonesia to create impact and change the landscape of the Indonesian upstream agriculture industry.
  2. Stunting Prevention and Nutrition AI Program: We aim to reduce Indonesia’s high stunting rates through a combination of direct intervention and AI-powered education and communication for behavior change. Our “ZeroStunting” program provides daily nutrition for stunted children, increasing parent’s awareness on parenting & child nutrition, empowering and train Posyandu cadres, and other relevant initiatives proven to reduce stunting. We also develop technology platforms for beneficiaries and program operators to make program operations more effective and efficient and for wider audiens that enable them to increase their awareness & knowledge as well as to make direct contributions such as giving donations and become a volunteer.

Join us in our mission to combat stunting, a critical challenge affecting millions of children in Indonesia. We are currently looking for a Head of Stunting Program and Operations to lead the stunting program division in Edufarmers.

Mission

To create the best, accountable, and trusted organization and platform for stunting reduction program in Indonesia through 1) evidence-based programs and operational excellence to provide solutions that increase nutrition intake of targeted beneficiaries, induce behavior change of

parents and children through communication and education, and integrate government’s initiatives to prevent and reduce stunting, 2) best-in-class technology platform and AI-based solutions, and 3) branding & marketing scheme that can increase public awareness and drive people to participate in stunting-reduction efforts.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop world-class stunting reduction strategy and programs

a. Design evidence-based, high-impact stunting reduction activities and initiatives, drawing on

best practices from global and regional experience

b. Develop and continually update Theory of Change (TOC) of the programs for different target

beneficiaries and activities

c. Create framework to accelerate stunting reduction of a specific targeted areas such as

kabupaten, kecamatan, or village level

d. Develop schemes to integrate government’s and local initiatives and innovations with the

ZeroStunting program, such as puskesmas referral system, PMT (Pemberian Makanan

Tambahan), MBG (Makan Bergizi Gratis), etc.

  • Setup the operations to run the program alongside the platform/technology.

a. Build system, business process, and SOP based on the program design and ensure seamless

integration with the technology and AI solutions

b. Ensure operational excellence for all of Edufarmers’ ZeroStunting program activities

c. Conduct assessment, setup operations, and lead the filed ops team to select areas and implement

appropriate interventions

d. Define, monitor, and report on key program metrics and KPIs through integrated dashboard,

including stunting reduction rates, program reach, beneficiary engagement, and operational

efficiency

e. Work with the finance team to create business planning and budgeting model for each

ZeroStunting initiatives

  • Lead the development of ZeroStunting platform/technology (AI, app, website) with technology partners that can provide early detection of stunting, monitor child development, induce positive behavior change among parents, and provide education on nutrition and healthy life.

a. Develop solutions for beneficiaries.

b. Develop solutions for the operational team.

c. Develop solutions for health cadres.

d. Develop solutions for contributors and donors.

e. Explore potential partnerships with other organizations that already have platforms or technology

with similar objectives.

  • Collaborate with the branding, marketing and impact team to increase public awareness and drive people to participate / contribute in stunting-reduction efforts

Requirement and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, public policy, or other relevant fields.

• Significant experience in program development, operations excellence, and leadership/team

management, typically gained over 7+ years, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role or

roles which requires leading team collaborations.

• Have a track record in successfully leading a project from the design phase, implementation phase,

to reporting, and able to achieve the target.

nothing short of the best, does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.

Communication: strong written and spoken communication, able to create and deliver powerful

presentation. Proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English is mandatory, with excellent written

and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Financial stewardship & cost management: skilled in budget planning, forecasting, monitoring, and

optimization to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize program impact.

Stakeholder engagement & government relations: proven ability to build and maintain effective

relationships with government agencies (national and local), donors, NGOs, and other external

partners; skilled at navigating multi-stakeholder environments to align priorities and ensure smooth

program implementation.
