Job Description
We are looking for a Growth Analytics Officer to strengthen our subscription and transaction analytics capability. Reporting directly to the SVP of Growth & Research, this role will focus on data analytics, subscriber segmentation, and operational monitoring of daily, weekly, and monthly business performance.
The Growth Analytics Officer will provide timely and actionable insights on subscription growth, retention trends, and transactional performance. The role also requires a basic understanding of experiment design (control vs. expose groups) to support A/B testing and growth initiatives across product, marketing, and CRM teams and ads team
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Monitoring
1. Build and maintain dashboards/reports to track daily, weekly, and monthly subscription and transaction performance.
2. Provide early-warning signals on anomalies, churn, acquisition, and payment trends.
3. Deliver clear and concise insights to stakeholders, connecting data with business context.
Segmentation & Insights
1. Create and manage subscriber segments (by tenure, package, LTV, churn risk, and behavior).
2. Support targeted campaigns by providing segment-level analysis and performance tracking.
3. Maintain segmentation frameworks to ensure consistency across growth, CRM, and product initiatives.
Experiment Support
1. Collaborate with Growth and Product teams on experiment setup, including control vs. expose group design.
2. Monitor experiment results and provide input on performance differences across segments.
3. Ensure data integrity and reliability in experiment reporting.
Cross-functional Collaboration
1. Partner with CRM, Marketing, Product, and Ads teams to align on KPIs and deliver analytics support.
2. Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for subscriber growth and retention strategies.
3. Contribute to weekly and monthly business reviews with executive-ready reports.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
1. 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in subscription, OTT, e-commerce, or digital businesses.
2. Experience in cohort analysis, segmentation, and business monitoring.
3. Business Acumen: Good understanding of subscription metrics (subs adds, churn, retention, ARPU, transactions).
4. Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to convert raw data into insights that support decision-making.
Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders and presenting findings in simple, actionable terms.
Core Analytics
1. SQL (proficient) – for data extraction, cohort analysis, segmentation, and business monitoring.
2. Excel / Google Sheets (advanced) – for quick analysis, reporting, and scenario checks.
3. BI Tools – experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar dashboarding tools.
Statistical & Experimentation
1. Basic familiarity with A/B testing and control-expose group mechanisms.
2. Understanding of statistical significance, confidence intervals, and variance.
3. Exposure to tools or scripting (Python/R) is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional (Nice-to-Haves)
1. Familiarity with CRM/lifecycle marketing tools or in-house systems.
2. Experience in churn analysis, payment funnel monitoring, or revenue reporting.
