Job Description

Building Relationships That Matter:

  • Work closely with government officials, policymakers, and key players in the Ministries of Health, Education, and Social Affairs to promote mental health initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong connections with local governments and NGOs to ensure Riliv’s programs reach as many people as possible

Shaping Mental Health Policies:

  • Keep an eye on the latest mental health policy changes and ensure Riliv stays ahead of the game.
  • Advocate for mental health to be included in schools, health centers, and other community programs. His/Her voice will help drive the change needed to bring mental health support to more people.

Forging Partnerships for Impact:

  • Partner with key government bodies and organizations to bring Riliv’s mental health services to life in schools and healthcare facilities.
  • Negotiate agreements and secure funding or grants that will help expand Riliv’s impact.

Creating Campaigns That Resonate:

  • Work with our internal teams to create campaigns that highlight the importance of mental health in schools and communities. Help craft messages that speak directly to government leaders.

Being Our Public Face:

  • Represent Riliv at meetings, conferences, and public forums where he/she will speak on the importance of mental health in Indonesia.
  • Be the go-to person for any inquiries from government bodies about our mental health programs.

Doing the Research:

  • Dive into the latest trends and regulations in mental health and public policy to ensure we’re on top of any opportunities or challenges.
  • Advise our leadership team on the best moves to make when it comes to working with the government.

Keeping Things Compliant:

  • Make sure we’re following all government rules and guidelines and track all our interactions with public sector leaders.
  • Report regularly to the leadership team on his/her progress and any key developments.

Requirements

Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, International Relations, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in government relations, public affairs, or a similar role.
  • Experience working with government agencies, particularly in the healthcare or education sectors, is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in policy advocacy, partnership building, and project management.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Indonesia’s healthcare and education systems, especially concerning mental health policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Ability to analyze policy documents, write persuasive advocacy materials, and deliver presentations to high-level stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of mental health issues and the current landscape of mental health services in Indonesia.
  • Familiarity with the workings of public sector funding or grants.
